The Economic Relationship Between the Tapoco Project and Alcoa's Tennessee Operations

My involvement began with the Cheoah River Recreation Study

  • July 11 - 14, 2000
  • Santeetlah dam almost completely de-waters nine miles of the Cheoah River
  • The water is piped from the dam to a powerhouse on the Little Tennessee, just upstream of the Cheoah confluence
  • Unusual riverbed (relatively steep but even gradient) makes for a unique whitewater paddling experience

Attended many of the hearings, wrote several responses to license documents, including the economic study.
